Blue Moon
BAR blue moon(ブルームーン)
At Blue Moon in Takadanobaba, guests can enjoy mint-infused mojitos from the Myoko Plateau, fresh fruit cocktails, whiskies, and bar snacks like carved Spanish ham in a relaxed counter setting.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
To sip the house mojito properly, the straw is placed all the way at the bottom of the glass to keep the aromas intact. The drink combines refreshing mint from Niigata's Myoko Plateau with a specially blended rum. Tucked into an alleyway away from the main bustle around Takadanobaba Station, Blue Moon is an authentic bar where you can unwind. Bartenders mix fruit-forward seasonal drinks across the counter, from sparkling wine poured over strawberry purée to a frozen cocktail made from frozen watermelon. Creative, original serves also draw attention, including the Seiryu, which brightens sake with lemon and liqueur, and the Nadeshiko, shaken with egg white to produce a delicate pink foam.
Alongside its cocktail repertoire, the bar maintains a richly stocked back bar of whiskies and spirits. The lineup spans Japanese whiskies like Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Ichiro's Malt, classic Scotches such as Ardbeg and The Macallan, craft gins, and Belgian beers. To accompany the drinks, the kitchen offers Jamón de Trevélez carved directly from the bone, house-smoked scallops, a three-cheese board, and freshly baked mixed pizzas. With dessert options such as vanilla ice cream drizzled with ultra-sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry alongside bitter chocolate, it is an inviting stop for an after-dinner drink.
The dimly lit interior preserves a comfortable sense of distance, whether you are having a quiet drink by yourself or catching up with a friend. Operating Monday through Saturday until 2:00 late at night, the bar accepts major credit cards and mobile payment methods, making it an easy place to drop in at the end of the evening.
